St. Peter's Church

Our beautiful 12th century Church is open every day between 10.00 am. and 4.00 pm. Admire the rare 17th century oak pews and look in the churchyard for one of the oldest gravestones in the country.  Follow Church lane directly down to the River Dove at Milldale with its picturesque Viators Bridge. From there you can walk along the river to the famous Stepping Stones at Dovedale (about 3 miles).

The George

With a great position overlooking our largest Village Green, The George is a 300 year old historic pub. You can expect a warm, cosy atmosphere in which everyone is welcome. Serves real ale & homemade food. Open Tuesday - Sunday.

The Village Hall

This is the view of the Village Hall from the Old School Garden, a  peaceful place to relax and somewhere to have lunch in good weather. As well as the venue for our workshops, the Village Hall hosts a variety of events.  And if you turn left out of the gate, you can walk past the play area across the playing fields to the village of Wetton (about 2 miles).
