Finishing Off Days - all profits to Waterberry Community Projects in Zambia

PictureTukongote School, June 2023

Do you have unfinished pieces of work at the back of the sofa or hiding in a drawer?  Well here's the opportunity to get them completed and support a worthy cause at the same time!  Spend a relaxing, uninterrupted day stitching, with help and advice to hand from Cathy and refreshments served as usual by John.  These finishing off days will run from 10.00 am. until after tea in the afternoon (but there is some flexibility to start from 9.30 am. or to finish later if you wish). You don't need to pay in advance, but places need to be booked and confirmed between 7-10 days beforehand.  There will be a maximum of 16 places on each day.

Profits from these workshops will be donated to Waterberry Community projects in Zambia. In September 2018 and more lately in June 2023,  J
ohn and I were privileged to witness first hand the amazing work being carried out by the Waterberry Zambezi Lodge that supports a number of educational projects focused around the Tukongote School and surrounding villages. Their emphasis is on working together with local communities to develop and improve opportunities for the local population. Every donation made towards the Waterberry Community Projects goes 100% to support and extend the educational programmes in the local villages, including building materials, teacher training, student sponsorship, purchase of uniforms, books & resources.  Between January 2019 and December 2023,  we were also funding the High School education of a boy who is called 'Happy' and whose family would not have been able to afford his continuing education. Happy has now completed his education and we were delighted to meet him and his father in person in 2023.
