Crewelwork Lotus Flower
Worked on pure linen twill with Appleton's crewel wools, this design by Cathy was inspired by a visit to Cambodia in early 2020 and the lotus flowers observed there. The embroidery itself measures c. 7" x 6" at the widest points and is worked and shown in an 8" embroidery hoop. The embroidery features a wide range of stitches including padded satin stitch, fishbone stitch and Cretan stitch.
