Alstonefield Memorial Hall  (the Village Hall), Alstonefield, DE6 2FR

Picture
Directions From the A515 Ashbourne to Buxton Road
From the south, leave Ashbourne on the A515 towards Buxton. Drive for approximately 7 miles and take a left-hand turn signposted 'Alstonefield'. Be careful not to take the narrower gated road just before the turn. From the north, leave Buxton on the A515 towards Ashbourne and take a right-hand turn signposted 'Alstonefield' and then immediately right at the T-junction to join the Alstonefield road from the south.

Cross the bridge at Lode Mill over the River Dove after about 1 mile and then keep right up the hill for about another mile to reach Alstonefield village via Lode Lane (do not take the lower road to the left). Carry straight on, passing Wesleyan House on your right (former Methodist Chapel), then bear left at the back of the George Pub. The Memorial Hall is directly in front of you. Turn right to enter the car park on your left.

Directions from Leek
Take the Buxton road (A53) and after about a mile at the top of a hill, turn right signposted 'Thorncliffe'. Follow this road climbing steeply until the highest point at 'The Mermaid' on your left, turning right to Warslow.  At the 'T' junction in Warslow, turn left and then 2nd right towards Hartington. At the Manifold Inn at Hulme End,  turn sharp right over the bridge. After about 3 miles you will arrive in Alstonefield. Continue down the hill and take the first turn on the right by the village pump. The Village Hall (Memorial Hall) and car park is on your right.

SAT NAV Postcode DE6 2FR  (please take care from Stoke/Leek direction - please travel via Warslow and NOT Grindon!)
