For those who would like to continue to learn different designs in this Japanese art, this one is called 'Interlocking Pentagons'. For the design, the ball is divided into 10 'complex divisions which results in 12 sections to decorate. These traditionally geometric patterns will inspire you to create your own colour combinations and designs. They make lovely ornaments or gifts, and are great to hang on a Christmas tree or in the window.
Suitability - Advanced Suitable for students who have at least attended the workshop 'Making a Temari Ball' or who have made a number of Temari balls previously. It is not absolutely essential to have attended a level 2 Temari workshop before attending level 3, however you should have ideally made a number of balls previously so that you are confident about the standard measuring technique.
