For those who wish to learn a more intricate temari design, the chrysanthemum is very traditionally Japanese. In this design the ball is subdivided so that 6 chrysanthemums can be worked in each of the sections around the ball. One chrysanthemum is worked on top of another in each section. A degree of manual dexterity is needed to wind wool & thread around the ball. However, you should already be familiar with how to wrap a temari ball at this level and should ideally already have worked several balls previously. The tutorial does not cover how to wrap a ball. The video tutorial takes you through each step of the process to produce an embroidered ball in the design shown.
