For those who would like to develop their skills in this Japanese art, this is a level 2 workshop where the ball is divided into six sections. These traditionally geometric patterns will inspire you to create your own colour combinations and designs. A degree of manual dexterity is needed to wind wool & thread around the ball. However, you should already be familiar with how to wrap a temari ball at this level and should ideally already have made a few balls previously. The tutorial does not cover how to wrap a ball. The video tutorial takes you through each step of the process to produce one embroidered ball in the Spindles design. An egg shaped spindles design is also shown.
