Worked on pure linen twill with Appleton crewel wools, this design by Cathy is a contemporary take on Chrysanthemums, using thread painting techniques. The embroidery itself measures approx. 8" x 8" and is worked and shown in a 10" embroidery hoop (not included in the kit). Suitable for anyone who has done a little stitching and beginners to crewelwork. As a guide, as long as you can use a needle and thread with basics like hemming, sewing on buttons & back stitch, then this could be for you! It is also suitable for those who simply love Crewelwork and want to develop their 'thread painting' skills.
Together with an online YouTube tutorial, the kit includes linen twill measuring 15" x 15" with your design pre-printed, Appleton crewel wools, crewel & chenille needles, beads to decorate, colour photograph, full instructions and stitch key.
To complete the project you will need a 10" embroidery hoop or other suitable frame and embroidery scissors. You may find a water erasable pen useful but not essential.
If you are buying as a gift, the kit and tutorial can be sent direct to the recipient at a time of your choice if details are supplied in the notes/comments box when completing your purchase.
