Silk Ribbon Embroidery
Silk ribbon has a wonderful soft texture and the design by Cathy provides an introduction to this type of embroidery with 3 or 4 different stitches creating the flowers and dragonflies. It is worked on pure silk dupion with a mix of variegated and single colour ribbon, and mounted in an oval frame, which is included in the price.

About the Workshop

The skeleton design will be pre-printed onto the silk dupion for you. You will learn how to start and finish your ribbon and then create the flowers using straight and ribbon stitches. The flower stems are worked in two different ways. As a guide, you should be able to complete 50-75% of the work during the workshop.
