Reverse Appliqué Owl Cushion Reverse Appliqué is a technique that involves cutting away a layer of fabric to reveal shapes underneath. The owl has been designed by Cathy using a beautiful soft cotton vintage fabric with colourful geometric patterns, before making it up into a cushion. It is embellished with blanket and other embroidery stitches. Suitability - Beginners Suitable for complete beginners and enthusiasts alike. Please bring your own packed lunch. What you need to bring . All materials and equipment will be provided to make the 16" cushion cover. The cushion pad is not included. Cost £45 per person including all materials. About the Workshop The design will be pre-printed onto your base ivory coloured cotton. You will then attach the contrasting fabric to the reverse before cutting away the base fabric to reveal shapes underneath. The edges are finished with blanket stitch and all the work is completed by hand. The workshop includes all materials to make the cushion cover (16" square) and instructions will be given to complete the cover at home. |
