Needlecase in Silk & Gold
This needlecase designed by Cathy is worked on pure silk dupion with variegated silk thread and incorporates a little goldwork.  It includes red acrylic felt in the centre for your needles and a small piece of Aida for tapestry needles. The needlecase measures approximately 5.5" x 6" (11" x 6" open) and is worked in an 8" embroidery hoop (not included). 

Suitability - Intermediate 
It will be helpful to have done some stitching previously.

What you need to bring

packed lunch
8" embroidery hoop, both rings of which should be bound with white cotton tape or bias binding. A seat frame is recommended.

(Everything else is provided, including needles & embroidery scissors. However you are welcome to bring your own sewing kit if you prefer).

Cost
£59
per person including all materials to complete your needlecase and access to a YouTube tutorial after the workshop.

About the Workshop
Your design will be pre-printed onto silk dupion. During the workshop we will mainly concentrate on the embroidery of one of the four petals, together with applying the gold leather. 
  A link to the video tutorial will be e-mailed to you after the workshop in order for you to be able to complete the embroidery at home and put the needlecase together.
