Lavender Bag in Pulled Thread work In this ONE HOUR workshop on each day of the British Quilt & Stitch Village Show in Uttoxeter, learn the technique of pulled thread work, where the threads of the fabric are pulled tightly to form a pattern. We will be working the 'framed cross filling stitch' using beautiful hand-dyed variegated silk thread on pure evenweave linen. The embroidery is then made up into a lavender bag, measuring 4.5" square. A lovely gift for any occasion! N.B. What you need to bring Yourself! All equipment needed for the workshop will be provided, including embroidery scissors and a 4" embroidery hoop for your use on the day.
Cost £15 per person including all materials and a short video tutorial, the link for which will be e-mailed to you after the workshop. Lavender to fill your bag is also included in the price.
About the Workshop The time during the workshop will be spent learning the 'framed cross filling stitch' which makes up the pulled thread work pattern. Full instructions will be provided as to how to make the lavender bag at home, including a link to a short YouTube video tutorial.
