What you need to bring . All materials and equipment will be provided, but you may wish to bring your own 10" embroidery hoop if you have one. A seat frame is best, and obviously you will need a 10" stalk to fit it. These stalks can be provided for sale on request, if ordered at least 8 weeks before the workshop (to fit an Elbesee seat frame). Alternatively a clip frame which is large enough for the project, would be suitable. These can be borrowed for the workshop if requested in advance and at least 6 weeks beforehand. The linen twill provided will measure 15" x 15".
Cost £55 per person including all materials. (the embroidery hoop is not included in the price).
About the Workshop The design will be pre-traced onto your linen twill. On the workshop, we will concentrate on perfecting your thread painting techniques (shading using long and short stitch). You will also learn French knots and stem stitch. Full guidance and instructions as to how to complete the project at home.
