Crewelwork Chrysanthemums
Worked on pure linen twill with Appleton crewel wools, this design by Cathy is a contemporary take on Chrysanthemums, using thread painting techniques. The embroidery itself measures c. 8" x 8" and is worked and shown in a 10" embroidery hoop (not included). The embroidery is worked on a piece of linen twill measuring c. 15" x 15".

Suitability - Beginners
Suitable for anyone who has done a little stitching but a beginner to crewelwork. As a guide, as long as you can use a needle and thread with basics like hemming, sewing on buttons & back stitch, then this could be for you!  It is also suitable for those who simply love Crewelwork and want to develop their 'thread painting' skills.
