Chicken Scratch Tray Cloth
The stitch used for this piece of work has various wonderful names …. Chicken Scratch, Depression Lace and Australian Lace being just a few. Worked on a linen check fabric, the tray cloth serves as a sampler for the various stitch designs. It measures 31 cm x 41 cm and is backed with calico.

Suitability - Beginners
This workshop will be suitable for complete beginners and for those more experienced who would like to add to their library of stitches.

About the Workshop

During the workshop you will learn the various foundation and winding stitches that make up 'Chicken Scratch' to make a sampler that can be made up into a tray cloth.   Calico for the backing is provided for you to take home. All the work is done by hand.
