Bayeux Stitch Rooster Designed by Cathy, the Rooster is worked in the stitch of the famous Bayeux tapestry with colourful pure silk hand-dyed threads on silk dupion. It is a simple stitch to learn, with only three basic stitches.

Cost £59 per person including all materials and access to a YouTube tutorial after the workshop. Currently £35 for any subsequent workshop to work the same project (with tutoring but no materials provided).

Refreshments Tea & coffee is provided throughout the day, with home-made biscuits mid-morning and cake mid-afternoon.
What you need to bring A packed lunch 8" embroidery hoop, both rings of which should be bound with white cotton tape or bias binding. A seat frame is recommended. (Everything else is provided, including needles & embroidery scissors. However you are welcome to bring your own sewing kit if you prefer). About the Workshop The workshop is limited to 12 persons, who may be working on different projects. The design will be pre-printed onto your silk and you will work the embroidery using pure silk threads that are easy to stitch with. A link to the video tutorial will be e-mailed to you after the workshop in order for you to be able to complete the embroidery at home, or return to attend another workshop at a reduced price.
