Stumpwork Poppy Kit with Video Tutorial (Intermediate)

This stumpwork poppy corsage has been designed by Cathy using silk organza, pure silk threads and beads to decorate. The wired petals and leaf are worked individually before being assembled to create the corsage. Measuring approx. 8cm across the petals, the poppy is backed with red satin fabric and a brooch back. The techniques used to make the poppy can easily be applied to make other corsages using different coloured silks and stitches. Suitable for beginners to stumpwork, but not suitable for beginners to embroidery. As a guide, you should already be confident about working blanket stitch, stem stitch and French knots.

Together with unlimited personal access to a detailed YouTube video tutorial, the kit includes red silk organza, various satin & cotton fabrics for stitching the leaf & centre and assembling the corsage, pure silk threads, brooch back, black beads to decorate, wire, crewel needle, colour photograph and full instructions.
To complete the project you will need both 4" and 6" embroidery hoops, standard red & green sewing thread, a pencil , paper and embroidery scissors. If you have a stiletto that will be useful but not essential.
