Worked on pure linen twill with Appleton crewel wools, this design by Cathy was inspired by the tradition of Jacobean embroidery, and is based on a piece undertaken for the RSN Certificate qualification . The embroidery itself measures c. 7" x 7" and is worked in a 10" embroidery hoop. It is displayed here in a frame (not included). Suitable for anyone with some experience of stitching. It is not suitable for beginners. As a guide, you should already be able to work stem stitch, split back stitch, feather stitch and blanket stitch. The stitches in the embroidery include Vandyke, Cretan, Fly stitch, Pekinese, Ermine, Long & Short, Buttonhole and several others.

Together with unlimited personal access to a detailed YouTube video tutorial, the kit includes linen twill measuring approximately 15" x 15" with your design pre-printed, Appleton crewel wools, crewel, chenille & tapestry needles, colour photograph, full instructions and stitch key.
To complete the project you will need a 10" embroidery hoop and embroidery scissors. You may also find a water erasable pen useful.
