Designed by Cathy and worked on pure linen twill with Appleton crewel wools, the peacock was inspired by a visit to India in 2015. The embroidery also incorporates the use of silk & metallic threads with seed beads as an optional decoration. The embroidery is worked in an 8" embroidery hoop and measures approximately 6.5" square. It is worked on a piece of linen twill measuring 12" square. Suitable for anyone with some experience of stitching. As a guide, you should already be able to confidently work stem stitch, French knots and blanket stitch.
Together with an online YouTube tutorial, the kit includes linen twill measuring 12" x 12" with your design pre-printed, Appleton crewel wools, silk threads, crewel & straw needles, beads to decorate, colour photograph, full instructions and stitch key.
To complete the project you will need an 8" embroidery hoop and embroidery scissors. You will also find a water erasable pen useful.
If you are buying as a gift, the kit and tutorial can be sent direct to the recipient at a time of your choice if details are supplied in the notes/comments box when completing your purchase.
