About the Workshop

You will  make a 4" square box entirely by hand. After choosing your fabrics from a selection provided, you will cut out your pattern using a template. The fabric is stiffened and then edged by hand in a matching thread using blanket stitch.  Then decorate the box in any way you wish with buttons, beads, ribbons etc. (provided). We aim for you to part complete one box by the end of the workshop. You will be shown how these boxes can be worked using a sewing machine as an alternative method,  and will be given the design to make a hexagonal box at home.
